Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in his home state of Gujarat to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects valued at ₹34,200 crore. The visit, part of the ‘Samudra Se Samriddhi’ event, focuses on enhancing the state’s infrastructure and maritime sector. The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a roadshow in Bhavnagar, an aerial survey of the Dholera special investment region, and a review of the National Maritime Heritage Complex project in Lothal. This project, which aims to preserve India’s maritime history, is being built at a cost of around ₹4,500 crore. The development initiatives also aim to create new opportunities in the shipping sector through public-private partnerships. Thousands of people lined the streets in Bhavnagar for the Prime Minister’s roadshow.
