At a convocation for ITI students, the launch of two major schemes for skill development was announced. Further announcements for the state’s youth included making education loans under the Student Credit Card scheme interest-free and increasing scholarships. The initiatives aim to upgrade the country’s skill infrastructure to meet industrial and global demands, reinforcing the idea that, “Everything can be changed, but there is no alternative to skill, innovation and hard work.” The effort is part of a broader vision to move India towards becoming a top-three economy by bolstering its manufacturing sector and creating employment.
