Prime Minister Modi is set to visit Bihar and West Bengal to inaugurate and lay the foundation for numerous development projects. In poll-bound Bihar, projects worth around 13,000 crore rupees will be launched, including the Ontasimaria Bridge on the River Ganga to connect Mokama and Begusarai. In West Bengal, the Prime Minister will unveil infrastructure projects valued at Rs 5,200 crores and flag off new metro train services in Kolkata. The visit has ignited a political controversy in Bihar, with the opposition claiming it is a political move aimed at the upcoming assembly elections. The opposition alleges a lack of development work by the central government in the state. One speaker questioned the timing of the visit, asking, "Ab toh aayenge na election hai toh saugat hai kya?" (He will come now, right? It’s the election, so what’s the gift?). Supporters, however, maintain that the Prime Minister consistently brings development to the state.
