The government is working in mission mode to increase women’s employment and create new self-employment opportunities in Bihar. Nearly Rs 1000 crore aid has been given to women’s self-help groups. In the past decade, 57 lakh poor families in Bihar have received pucca houses. The government aims to build 3 crore more pucca houses for the poor across India in coming years.
