PM Modi Slams Congress: Who Blocked 2008 Strike on Pakistan? | India Today News

In Navi Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Mumbai is not just India’s economic hub but also a vibrant city, which is why terrorists attacked it in 2008. He criticized the Congress government at the time for showing weakness. Modi revealed that a senior Congress leader and former Home Minister admitted that after the 2008 attacks, India’s security forces were ready to strike Pakistan, but a foreign country’s pressure stopped them. He demanded Congress explain who made that decision. Modi said Congress’s weakness encouraged terrorists, costing lives, and stressed that national security and citizen safety are his top priorities.
