Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha today, following a showdown in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, prompting him to cancel his address in the lower House. Union Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju announced that PM Modi will address the Rajya Sabha at around 5 pm while also taking a dig atthe Opposition. Responding to allegations made by Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge in the House, Rijiju said all MPs want to hear the Prime Minister’s speech, but claimed that the Congress Party does not wish to listen, which he said was its own choice.
