The Prime Minister has set the record straight on Operation Sindoor, detailing India’s response to Pakistan. This comes as opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, questioned the government on the operation and alleged US mediation. The Prime Minister stated that no world leader asked India to stop, and recounted telling US Vice President J.D. Vance who had called to warn of a Pakistani attack, "if Pakistan will strike, India will strike even harder." He said it was Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations who sought a ceasefire after India destroyed multiple Pakistani air bases and radar stations. Concurrently, the Union Home Minister confirmed in parliament that the three terrorists responsible for the Pehelgam attack were neutralized in Operation Mahadev by a joint team of security forces. Forensic tests have confirmed the weapons recovered were those used in the attack.
