PM Modi discussed strengthening India-Israel cooperation across multiple sectors during a bilateral meeting. PM Modi announced that India and Israel will soon sign a Mutually Beneficial Free Trade Agreement, following the bilateral investment agreement signed last year. The two countries have decided to establish a Critical and Emerging Technology Partnership focusing on AI, quantum computing, and critical minerals. An agreement has been reached to enable UPI usage in Israel. In agriculture, PM Modi announced plans to increase Centers of Excellence established with Israeli help from the current number to 100. The Manpower Mobility Agreement signed in 2023 will be expanded to include commerce and services sectors beyond construction and caregiving. An India-Israel Academic Forum is being established to connect youth, researchers, and innovators. The discussions also covered regional connectivity initiatives including the India, Middle East, Europe Economic Corridor and the India-Israel-UAE-USA partnership.
