In a fiery speech in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi framed the election as a direct battle between the NDA’s ‘Sushasan’ (good governance) and the opposition’s ‘Jungle Raj’ (reign of lawlessness). The Prime Minister, in his address, declared, ‘Bihar ko katta sarkaar nahi chaahiye’ (Bihar does not want a government of guns). He asserted that the ‘double engine’ government of the NDA at the Centre and the state has been instrumental in freeing Bihar from the fear of Maoist terror, with Naxalism now on the verge of being eradicated. The Prime Minister also highlighted key government achievements, including the implementation of 50% reservation for women in Panchayati Raj and 35% in government jobs in Bihar, the 10% EWS quota for the poor, and the PM-Kisan Samman Yojana, contrasting these development works with the alleged lawlessness of previous regimes.
