Prime Minister Modi met Subhanshu Shukla, India’s space hero, at his residence. Shukla, an Indian astronaut and pilot of the Axiom-4 Space Mission to the International Space Station, recently returned to India after his historic journey. During the meeting, Shukla presented the Axiom-4 mission patch to the Prime Minister. He also shared photographs of Earth taken from the International Space Station. The Prime Minister welcomed Shukla and discussed his experiences in space, progress in science and technology, and India’s Gaganyaan mission. Shukla is the first ISRO astronaut to visit the ISS and the second Indian to travel to space. His mission involved conducting over 60 scientific experiments.
