Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the Lok Sabha at 2 pm today on the West Asia war and its impact on India, followed by a statement in the Rajya Sabha. The address comes a day after Modi chaired a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting with top ministers for over two hours, where he instructed ministries to form groups and coordinate with state governments to tackle potential challenges. The meeting discussed strategies to address possible energy crises and raw material shortages affecting sectors dependent on petroleum products, crude oil, LPG, fertilisers, and power. Ministers have been tasked with developing short-term, mid-term, and long-term strategies to ensure no inconvenience is caused to citizens. The government has been conducting regular inter-ministerial briefings to address concerns about availability of resources, clarifying there is no shortage of LPG, petrol, diesel, or energy resources, and exploring alternative supply chains if traditional routes face disruption.
