Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame at Yad Vashem, Israel’s official memorial to Holocaust victims, during his two-day visit to Israel. Modi, accompanied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, visited the Hall of Names and the Children’s Memorial at the Holocaust Remembrance Centre. Following this, Modi is scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss bilateral ties. High-stakes delegation-level talks between Modi and Netanyahu are set to take place, with over 15 to 17 MOUs expected to be signed. The talks will focus on mega-defence cooperation, including advanced air defence systems, Iron Dome-type capabilities, drones, and hypersonic technology, with a strong Make in India push through joint production. Regional security, agriculture, water technology, and innovation are also on the agenda, aimed at strengthening the India-Israel strategic partnership.
