Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 6.5 km Z-Morh Tunnel in Sonmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. The tunnel, located on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway, will improve year-round connectivity to Ladakh. It bypasses avalanche-prone areas, ensuring efficient civilian and military traffic flow. The project is part of a larger network of tunnels in J&K, including the adjacent Zojila tunnel expected to complete by 2028.
