The crisis, which has persisted for over three weeks, is adversely affecting the global economy and people’s lives. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri briefed the meeting on the situation. The government stated that the international community is urging all parties to resolve the crisis swiftly. Since the conflict began, essential assistance has been provided to every Indian in the most affected countries. The speaker revealed having spoken to presidents of most West Asian countries in two rounds of phone calls, receiving full assurance about the security of Indians. Unfortunately, some Indians have lost their lives and others have been injured. The government is providing essential help to affected families and ensuring better treatment for the injured.
