Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a massive election rally in Araria, Bihar, launched a blistering attack on the opposition RJD-Congress alliance ahead of the second phase of assembly polls. ‘Jungle Raj means guns, cruelty, bitterness, bad culture, corruption, and misrule,’ PM Modi stated, contrasting the previous RJD government’s tenure with the development work under the NDA. He accused the RJD of delivering ‘zero’ development during its 15 years in power, claiming no new expressways, major bridges, or medical colleges were built. The Prime Minister highlighted the NDA’s achievements, including the establishment of IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS in the state, and the progress on major infrastructure like the Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway and the Kosi-Mechi river linking project. He also targeted the opposition on the issues of infiltration in the Seemanchal region and for allegedly insulting religious sentiments related to the Ram Mandir and Chhath Puja.
