Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Palakkad, Kerala, stating that Kerala is witnessing a changed atmosphere with increasing support for the BJP and NDA. He paid tribute to party workers who lost their lives to political violence in the state. Modi criticised both the LDF and UDF governments, calling them corrupt and communal, alleging they have pushed Kerala into debt exceeding five lakh crore rupees. He accused both fronts of colluding to plunder the state and promised that a BJP-NDA government would investigate all scams and ensure justice for Kerala’s people. The Prime Minister highlighted that the central government has provided over five times more funds to Kerala compared to the previous Congress government’s tenure. He announced that Palakkad received Kerala’s first IIT under the BJP government and promised development through infrastructure upgrades and a Smart Industrial City. Modi also addressed farmers’ issues, the West Asia conflict’s impact on Indian workers abroad, and criticised Congress’s stance on sensitive matters.
