Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the opposition to support the NDA’s candidate for the post of Vice President. The NDA’s candidate is CP Radhakrishnan. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is engaging with various opposition leaders, including Sanjay Stalin and Mallika Tunkhade, to build consensus. The government is working to ensure support for CP Radhakrishnan, whose nomination is scheduled for tomorrow. A felicitation program for CP Radhakrishnan took place today, attended by the Prime Minister and other NDA constituents. The opposition political parties are also scheduled to meet today at 12:30 PM to decide their strategy for the elections. The NDA holds a majority in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, indicating a comfortable position for their candidate. The Vice Presidential election is set for September 9, with results expected on the same day. Training sessions for parliamentarians from all groups are planned for September 6, 7, and 8, ahead of the voting.
