In his address, PM Modi highlighted Radhakrishnan’s humble origins from a ‘farmer’s family’ and his dedication to social service. The Prime Minister praised Radhakrishnan’s tenure as Chairman of the Coir Board, noting he ‘converted it into a historically highest profit institution’. He also recalled Radhakrishnan’s service as Governor of Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Telangana, and Lt Governor of Puducherry. PM Modi commended the Chairman for his ‘protocol-free’ approach to public life.
