A plot to kill comedian Munawar Faruqui has been foiled in the national capital. Two alleged contract killers, identified as Rahul and Sahil, were apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell after an encounter in the Kalindi Kunj area. The men are allegedly members of the criminal syndicate run by gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldie Brar. An initial interrogation revealed that the order to kill the social media influencer was given by Rohit Godara. The stated motive is the gang’s claim that "Munawwar Farooqui constantly insults and speaks against the Hindu deities." The shooters conducted reconnaissance in Mumbai and Bengaluru and were in Delhi to procure weapons. One of the accused, Rahul, was also wanted in connection with a triple murder in Haryana in December 2024.
