The Kolkata High Court has criticised the Magda Banerjee government for its handling of a rape and murder case. The court questioned why a Special Investigative Team (SIT) had not been formed earlier. The state government has now informed the court that a seven-member SIT, supervised by the Additional Commissioner of Police, has been constituted. The court has also asked for the resignation of R.G.K. College Principal Sandeep Ghosh and summoned the case diary.
