Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has alleged a planned conspiracy to defile the sacred prasadam at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Speaking in the assembly, Pawan Kalyan stated that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has identified 36 accused in the ghee adulteration case and concluded it was carried out with the intention of defiling the sacred prasadam. He claimed that tender conditions were deliberately modified as part of a key plan strategy to award ghee supply contracts to preferred companies. The Deputy Chief Minister said the CBI-led SIT found that no milk was used for manufacturing the ghee supplied for Tirupati Laddu. He alleged that strict procedures and norms for procurement were systematically violated. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu called it an organised controversy. The SIT reported adulteration of 59.71 kgs and lakhs of kgs of ghee in TTD prasadam, with companies including Bhole Baba Dairies and AR Dairies allegedly supplying adulterated ghee during the previous government’s tenure.
