Partition Row: NCERT Module Names Jinnah, Congress, Mountbatten As 'Culprits' | Reporter Diary

A new NCERT special module, ‘Partition Horrors, the Remembrance Day’, has generated controversy. The module states that three elements were responsible for India’s partition. It says, "that is Jinnah that demanded it, Congress which was accepting it, and the third was Lord Mountbatten who had implemented the partition." The text also claims the partition was not inevitable and was hastily preponed from 1948 to 1947, leading to widespread death. It further links the division to the ongoing Kashmir problem. In response, the Congress party has accused the NCERT of presenting one-sided history, questioning why the module does not mention the Hindu Mahasabha’s alignment with the Muslim League for provincial elections. Opposition leaders state that history is being rewritten in a way that is convenient for the government. #ncert #partitionofindia #indiapartition #itwebvideos #history #controversy #congress #jinnah #mountbatten #indianpolitics #education #partitionhorrors #bjp #hindumahasabha
