Welcoming the new Vice President, Kharge quoted Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s 1952 speech, stating, ‘I belong to no party and that means I belong to every party.’ This remark triggered a sharp counter from Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and BJP President J.P. Nadda, who accused the Opposition of previously insulting former Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. The uproar intensified as Nadda questioned the Opposition’s conduct towards the Chair. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 PM following disruptions over the ‘SIR issue’ and the introduction of a bill regarding pan masala health warnings. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the media, criticizing the Opposition for ‘electoral theatre’ outside Parliament.
