Proceedings in Parliament today began amid an uproar over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak issue and the new criminal laws. Several Opposition members staged a walkout of Lok Sabha after BJP MP Anurag Thakur moved a Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address.
Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were on Friday adjourned after Opposition INDIA bloc members demanded a dedicated discussion on the NEET when the two Houses were to take up the debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address.
NEET-UG was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 5 with around 24 lakh candidates appearing. The results were announced on June 4 but were followed by allegations of question paper leaks and other irregularities.
