Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Hours After Agreement, Opens Artillery Fire Along LoC

India Today reports on Operation Sindoor, where the Indian Air Force struck multiple Pakistan Air Force bases from Skardu to Rahim Yar Khan. A ceasefire has been agreed between India and Pakistan, coming into effect from 5 PM. Prime Minister Modi is holding a security meeting with top officials to assess the situation. The Indian military clarified that no religious sites were targeted, countering Pakistan’s misinformation campaign. Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Rajouri and the international border in Akhnoor sector, just hours after agreeing to a ceasefire with India. Artillery fire has been reported in multiple sectors. The violation highlights Pakistan’s history of breaching agreements and sponsoring terror against India, including major attacks like 26/11 Mumbai and Pulwama. The ceasefire violation comes despite Pakistan’s DGMO calling for a ceasefire earlier in the day.
