Pakistan conducted airstrikes on a drug treatment hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan, killing 400 people and injuring over 250, according to reports from the site. The hospital, which treated addicts undergoing rehabilitation, was completely destroyed in the attack, with smoke seen billowing from the compound. The Taliban government condemned the strike, accusing Pakistan of violating Afghan territory and describing it as an act against all human norms and principles. The attack came hours after the two countries exchanged fire along their common border. Pakistan has denied targeting the hospital, stating its forces only target Afghan military facilities used for attacks in Pakistan. Taliban spokesperson Sohail Shaheen vowed retaliation, stating the attack cannot be left unanswered. Last week, Pakistan struck a fuel depot near Kandahar Airport, further escalating tensions. The region faces increasing instability amid ongoing strikes and humanitarian concerns in war-torn Afghanistan.
