Punjab Police nabbed Jasbir Singh, the YouTuber behind the Jaan Mahal channel with over 1.1 million subscribers, for his alleged role in a Pakistan-backed espionage network. The Jasbir Singh arrest, executed by the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Mohali based on actionable intelligence, marks him as the second content creator nabbed in weeks, following Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, with whom he was in regular contact. A resident of Mahlan village in Rupnagar, Singh’s ties to Malhotra, already arrested for spying, have raised alarms about a broader terror-linked network. Sources reveal Singh attempted to erase digital traces after Malhotra’s arrest, but recovered data links him to Pakistani operatives.
