Pakistani army resorted to unprovoked small arms firing across the Line of Control in areas opposite Kupwara and Baramulla districts during the night of 28-29. Ceasefire violations were also reported in the Akhnoor sector. This marks the fifth consecutive night of such provocations by Pakistan. The Indian army has responded in a measured and effective manner to these provocations.
