Insurgencies in Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have turned into a massive challenge for the Pakistan government with a rise in frequency and intensity of attacks against security forces. There’s been a surge over the last couple of months with dozens killed in nearly 150 attacks in 2025 alone.
