A convoy of Pakistani soldiers traveling from Quetta to Taftan was ambushed on Sunday, resulting in at least seven deaths and twenty-one injuries. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed credit for the attack, claiming 90 military men were killed, despite official reports confirming only seven deaths.
"A security forces convoy traveling from Quetta to Taftan was attacked," a Pakistani official stated in a statement. The convoy, which included two cars and seven buses, was the target of the attack. A Vehicle-Borne IED, potentially a suicide strike, struck one of the busses, while Rocket-Propelled Grenades (RPGs) targeted another.
