The Pakistani army is on high alert along the Line of Control following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Digital footprints of the attackers have been traced to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Karachi. The attack, which killed 28 people including tourists and a Navy officer, was carried out by terrorists speaking Pashto. Prime Minister Modi chaired a high-level security meeting upon his return from Saudi Arabia. The attack is believed to be part of Pakistan’s strategy to stoke tensions in Jammu and Kashmir. A terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has left 28 tourists dead, including two foreign nationals. The attack, which took place on April 22 at 2:30 PM, involved six terrorists targeting tourists in the Baisaran Valley. Home Minister Amit Shah visited the site and met with victims’ families. A crucial Cabinet Committee on Security meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to discuss India’s response. World leaders, including the US President and Russian President, have strongly condemned the attack.
