In a major development from Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have reportedly trapped the suspected terrorists behind the April 22nd Pahalgam attack. Under ‘Operation Mahadev’, three likely foreign terrorists from the Suleiman group have been cornered near Srinagar in a joint operation by the Army, JKP, and CRPF. Sources indicate a “high probability that the ones who have been trapped are the Pahalgam attackers.” This breakthrough comes as the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm following a commotion. The opposition disrupted a planned 16-hour debate on ‘Operation Sindoor’, India’s response to the Pahalgam massacre, by demanding a subsequent discussion on a Special Intensive Review, which the government wants routed through the Business Advisory Committee first. The search for the attackers, linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and its affiliate TRF, has been ongoing across South Kashmir for months.
