Security agencies have achieved a significant breakthrough in the Pahalgam attack case, five months after 25 tourists were killed in the Vaisaran Valley. The first arrest has been made; Mohammad Yusuf Qatariya, a 26-year-old alleged Lashkar terrorist and TRF operative from Kulgam, is in custody. Police state Qatariya was apprehended after two days of questioning and analysis of weapons seized in Operation MahadeMs.8. He has been sent to 14-day police custody. Investigators allege Qatariya played a crucial role by providing logistical support, helping Lashkar terrorists navigate through Kulgam’s forests, and assisting their movements after infiltration. With this arrest, investigators believe they "will have struck a major blow to the overground workers’ network that enabled the carnage."
