President Draupadi Murmu conferred Padma Awards to distinguished individuals across various fields at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Recipients included Tamil superstar Ajith (Padma Bhushan), cricketer R. Ashwin (Padma Shri), and a 96-year-old artist for shadow puppetry. Other awardees were Vedic scholar Gyaneshwar Shastri David, oncologist Dr. Vijayalakshmi Deshmani, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, and hockey goalkeeper P.R. Suresh. The late Osamu Suzuki was posthumously honored for his contributions to India’s automobile sector.
