A massive fire fueled by exploding fireworks tore through four homes in Pacoima, leaving a 33-year-old woman critically injured with severe burns. Over 130 firefighters battled the blaze, declared a “major emergency,” as fireworks rained down, threatening more homes and dry brush. The Los Angeles Fire Department, tackling downed power lines and a gas leak, extinguished the flames by 10 p.m.
