The security operation in the Akhal forest of Kulgam, one of the longest in the Kashmir Valley this year, has entered its fourth day with continuous firing and explosions. The engagement, which started on Friday evening, has resulted in the deaths of three terrorists and injuries to four soldiers. The operation is taking place in a challenging and densely forested terrain, prompting the deployment of Rudra attack helicopters, drones, high-tech surveillance equipment, and elite para forces. According to a journalist on the ground, "it is one of the longest operations carried out by the security forces in the Kashmir Valley this year." Security forces have retrieved the bodies of two terrorists, but the third remains in the dense forest.
