In Dehradun, a patwari named Gulam Haider was caught accepting a Rs 2000 bribe by the State Vigilance Department. In a desperate attempt to destroy evidence, Haider swallowed four Rs 500 notes. Vigilance officials took him to a hospital for a CT scan, but it failed to provide conclusive proof. Vigilance director Dr. V.
