Karnataka’s Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Madhu Bangarappa, revealed his first act in office was to sign off on removing the ‘saffronization’ of textbooks. Both ministers opposed the three-language policy, with Mahesh calling it an imposition. Bangarappa also raised concerns about financial federalism, stating southern states get a fraction of the GST they contribute for education.
