A major security breach occurred at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha when a white Sierra car with a Uttar Pradesh registration plate forcibly entered the premises after ramming through Gate Number 2. The incident took place while Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta was holding a meeting with education officials. The driver, identified as Sarabjit, reportedly parked the vehicle near the Speaker’s office for several minutes, left a flower bouquet, and splashed ink on the Speaker’s car before attempting to flee. Delhi Police have since arrested Sarabjit and two others in connection with the breach. Forensic teams and the Bomb Detection Squad, accompanied by sniffer dogs, were deployed to the site to collect samples and verify the contents of the bouquet. A crime scene recreation was conducted outside the Speaker’s office to investigate the motive and lapse in security at the high-security British-era campus.
