As the world grapples with an energy crisis stemming from the West Asia conflict, India has managed to avoid major supply disruptions, unlike several global powers. While China has seen factories cut production due to fuel shortages, and the United Kingdom faces massive price hikes, India has not experienced pump price increases. The United States has a 90-day supply reserve, while India maintains over 74 days of supply backup. Germany has restarted coal plants amid surging gas prices, but India has pushed pipeline natural gas during LNG shortages. Canada is in panic mode over global oil tankers, while India has expanded imports to ensure uninterrupted supply. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Parliament on the issue, noting that India sources 60 percent of its LPG through imports, with 90 percent coming through the Strait of Hormuz. The government reports that panic booking has stopped and delivery quantities match consumer demand for domestic users, though commercial users face concerns.
