Director General of Prisons, Susanta Kumar Nath, said that an undertrial prisoner escaped from Soro sub-jail in Balasore by climbing a tree and jumping over an 18-foot wall after dinner. The police have started an investigation and suspended two warders on duty. Nath said strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty — including disciplinary or criminal action if there was negligence or collusion.
