Incessant rainfall has triggered widespread floods and landslides across Northeast India, affecting thousands. Major rivers including Brahmaputra, Barak, and Kushya are flowing above danger levels. The Indian Air Force, NDRF, SDRF, Army, and local authorities are conducting rescue operations. The IMD has issued a red alert for Assam, Manipur, and Sikkim, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall. Multiple states including Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram are facing severe infrastructure damage and displacement of residents.
