A fake police station operating in Delhi’s doorstep, Noida, has been exposed. The mastermind behind this operation is a former Trinamool Congress leader from West Bengal, who was previously under investigation by ED and CBI in connection with a teacher recruitment scam. A six-member Bengal gang ran this sham ‘International Police and Crime Investigation Bureau’, extorting money and using a fake Interpol logo. This incident is a rerun of a fake embassy scam previously busted in Delhi NCR. Investigations revealed a similar office was also set up in Kolkata, where the mastermind was seen with armed security and a blue beacon light.
