Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah stated that there are no plans to revisit the ‘Shakti’ scheme, which provides free bus travel for women in the state, despite Deputy CM D K Shivakumar mentioning that some women have expressed willingness to pay for the service. The initiative has seen significant state investment and usage since its launch.
