The activists stormed the hotel where the event, named ‘Rajya Basha Mahasabha Sangh’, was being held, tore down banners and raised slogans. They were heard chanting, "No place for Hindi event in Karnataka." The protest led to the disruption of the programme. Following the incident, local police intervened and took the activists into custody. They were later released after being given a warning not to participate in similar interventions in the future.
