Nitin Gadkari's Vision For India@100: 100km Roads/Day, Green Fuel Push | Business Today Conclave

At the Business Today Conclave, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari outlined a vision for India’s infrastructure leading up to 2047. He cited former US President John F. Kennedy, stating, "American roads are not good because America is rich but America is rich because American roads are good." The plan includes an ambitious target of constructing 100 kilometres of roads per day and awarding contracts worth ten lakh crore by the end of March. A key goal is to reduce India’s logistics costs from 16 percent down to 9 percent by December of this year, a move expected to significantly boost exports. The transformation also focuses on alternative fuels, with pilot projects for hydrogen fuel cells involving companies like Tata and Reliance, the introduction of flash-charging electric buses between cities like Delhi and Jaipur, and exploring ropeways for container transport.
