The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team is preparing to depart for the United States to facilitate the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a key plotter in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The US Supreme Court has cleared Rana’s extradition to India. Rana, a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, was arrested in Chicago in 2009. Indian agencies are in contact with their US counterparts to expedite the process.
