The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is leading a multi-state probe into a ‘white-collar’ terror module allegedly linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad after a car blast killed 13 people near Delhi’s Red Fort. The investigation, spanning Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir, centers on several medical professionals and their connection to Al-Falah University in Faridabad. Authorities uncovered a massive cache of nearly 2,900 kg of explosives and a plot to create the poison ricin. Key suspects include Dr. Muhammad Umar, the alleged bomber who drove the vehicle, and Dr. Shaheen Shahid, a physician from Lucknow purportedly tasked with establishing a women’s wing for the terror group in India. Following the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that all individuals responsible would be brought to justice as agencies continue to investigate the terror network.
