An India Today investigation examines a controversial Pune land deal allegedly involving Parth Pawar, son of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The report scrutinises claims that a property valued at 1800 crores was undervalued for sale at 300 crores to a company where Parth Pawar holds a 99% stake. Anti-corruption activist Anjali Damania, who has been tracking the deal, stated, ‘I have demanded that Parth Pawar’s location, tower location of 16th June should be dug. That will reveal a hell lot of details. And that will force Ajit Pawar to resign.’ The programme also explores the opposition’s allegations of ‘washing machine politics,’ where investigations into several political leaders, including Praful Patel and Chhagan Bhujbal, have reportedly slowed after they aligned with the ruling coalition.
