A poll conducted on January 9-10 reveals voters’ views on the Sheeshmahal controversy surrounding Delhi CM’s residence renovation. 47% overall and 36% of AAP voters say it could negatively impact AAP. AAP counters with allegations of a 2700 crore ‘Raj Mahal’ for the PM. However, 56% of voters say this is not the main election issue. Additionally, the poll suggests 56% of Delhi voters feel AAP no longer represents the common man as it did 10 years ago. The BJP’s ‘Sheeshmahal’ allegation against AAP resonates more than AAP’s ‘Rajmahal’ counter-charge. However, AAP’s Mahila Samman Yojana scheme is seen as potentially beneficial by 53% of respondents, including 40% of BJP voters.
